Owen Walker, editor, schemeXpert.com
Prior to becoming editor, Owen was deputy editor of Pensions Management. He is an award winning journalist, having extensively covered pensions and investment for both the retail and institutional markets. His specialisms include pensions reform, responsible investment, alternative investment, pension scheme derisking, trustee governance and personal pensions.
He is a member-nominated director of the Pearson Group Pension Plan and sits on its money purchase committee. Owen is also a committee member of the Association of Member Nominated Trustees and is a regular speaker at industry events.

Ian Smith, deputy editor, schemeXpert.com
Ian joined schemeXpert.com as senior reporter in April 2011 following nine months as senior reporter at its sister title Pensions Week. Previously, he completed internships at Reuters, the New Statesman and the Financial Times, where he worked on the latter's Special Reports and Lex desks.
Graduating from Oxford with a Modern Middle Eastern Studies M.Phil. in 2009, he gained an NCTJ qualification at Lambeth College while working at the Sevenoaks Chronicle. In his time at the FT, he has contributed to the Lex column, Special Reports, FTFM, Pensions Management, schemeXpert.com and Pensions Week.

Pippa worked for The Times' science supplement, Eureka, before joining schemeXpert.com and its sister title Pensions Week in September 2010. She writes on a range of subjects for both the FT's UK pensions titles, specialising in legal and regulatory isses as well as the DC industry.
